Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth Olsen is the younger sister of super famous Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (aka the "Olsen Twins"). Following the Olsen tradition, she started out acting when she was barely out of the cot, starring in cameo roles in some of her sisters' productions.

Let's take a step back for a minute though.

So, given her famous sisters, how come we didn't even know she existed?

Normally when someone is famous their entire family history (or at least the existence of other siblings) usually comes out through the media. So when someone like Richard Dawson, who has written multiple biographies on the Olsen twins, comes out and says that he did not even know there is an Elizabeth Olsen and that she's related to the Olsen "scarecrow" twins, it's kind of intriguing.

"Lizzie" Olsen was born to Jarnie & David Olsen (Mary-Kate and Ashley's parents) so she's not a half sister. Although, the Olsen twins did reveal in their official biography Our Story that they also have a younger brother and sister from their father David's second marriage.

Elizabeth Olsen is staring in an indie drama called "Martha Marcy May Marlene" where she plays a young girl escaping from a cult leader. Her performance in the haunting drama has been the talk of the town.

She will also star in "The Silent House" (about a woman going mad after being trapped in a nightmare) and "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" (where a conservative lawyer takes her teenagers to meet their hippie grandmother).

She reminds me a little bit of Dakota Fanning actually!

I don't know about you, but I think Elizabeth Olsen is one person to look out for in 2011 - and not so much because she's related to the Olsen Twins (although that will help her) but as a talent in her own right.
