Limericks can be scary...or not

How about making your own Halloween Limericks and putting them up on a sign outside your house? It could be scary, or funny, or ambiguous! Here are some Halloween Limericks that I've made up to get you started.

Original Halloween Limericks

The pumpkin grinned on the porch
A crooked smile lit with a torch
I did use a candle
And became a vandal
It tipped and left a big scorch! (oops)

Old McGhee of 1835
Went fishing but didn't survive
When out at the dock
He fell on a rock
On Halloween his ghost is alive!

In the treehouse I saw a black shadow
Saw a shape fly outside my window
Tripped on a black cat
Got scared by a bat
Any more, wife will be a widow!

If you show at my door, no costume
There'll be no treats for you to consume
Watch out for the trick
It'll make you run quick
You've been warned - you will face your doom!

How to scare kids away in the night:
Want to give them a really big fright?
Go hide in the closet
They'll leave a deposit
When the boogieman busts out there tonight!
