More than ever in the current state of the world we live in, we need to be knowledgeable about our religion. There is a growing outcry against the faith from scientific minds and those who have faith are often unable to fight back, because they don't even know their own religion! We need to read our Bibles daily, even 15 minutes.

We have been warned from Heaven that many recent translations of the Bible have been modified to suit mankind. I recommend finding the King James Version (not the New King James Version) - it is in old English and all the names have been written in such a way that one can learn to pronounce them properly (with a guide in the front).

The term Eucharist means "thanksgiving". In this Sacrament, instituted in the Last Supper, we give thanks to the Lord for offering his Body and Blood for the salvation of all mankind.

People in a state of grace should only receive Communion (ie they should have gone to Confession prior to receiving Communion). Those not in a state of grace may go up and cross their arms (place their hands on opposite shoulders) for a blessing from the priest.

As for receiving Communion, I myself, after coming to this knowledge, need to humble myself and kneel before a priest to receive it in my mouth, not by my hands. Mankind is proud, this is something we all need to overcome.

Not many look forward to going to Confession (Sacrament of Reconciliation).

This is because we are too proud to admit it when we are wrong. When we do know we have sinned, then we are too ashamed to confess our sins to the priest.

I am yet to muster the courage to go to Confession. Knowing I should and not doing it eats away at me slowly, it isn't good and it's sinful. I should realize that the priest has heard it all before and very little if anything is going to surprise him. It is just the courageous first step that is the most daunting. Demons love this, they help us rationalize away the necessity of receiving this Sacrament.

Always keep your Sacramentals about you. They are spiritual armor given to us from Heaven.
